Lying on her mooring in Noank, September 2007

Update:  The Friendship Sloop Lisa K. has been sold as of June 2009....

She now operates out of Boston Harbor as the "Tupelo Honey."  I'm happy to wish her new owners and crew the best of luck in their endeavor and now even more people can enjoy sailing aboard this wonderful vessel (Link to: Tuplelo Honey).

If you are interested in purchasing a vessel nearly identical to the Lisa K., please call Captain Joe Hliva, who is now seeking a buyer for his 31-foot Newman Dictator Friendship Sloop "Netanya," (not commercially certified). Please contact Joe at 203-637-7787 or visit the Netanya Website at http://friendshipsloopnetanyaforsale.shutterfly.com/.

Owner's Comments
The general condition of Lisa K is very good. The vessel turns heads and is a constant source of pride. Lisa K was sailing as a captained charter vessel in Maine and the Caribbean until 2000 when this owner purchased her for use as a private yacht. Although not used commercially, she has been consistently licensed and inspected every season and is currently qualified to carry passengers.  Thus, this is an opportunity to start a business.
Comments
Lisa K is one of the Dictator-class Friendship sloops built by Jarvis Newman, Inc., of Southwest Harbor, Maine. Mr. Newman owned and restored the Friendship sloop DICTATOR, took the lines off her hull, and began molding hulls in fiberglass. This particular hull was finished by Bruce Lanning in Winter Harbor, Maine.  The Dictators have proven to be fast and comfortable with very pleasing lines. I shall be pleased to furnish additional information and to arrange for inspection.
